Dr. Alexandre Merlen is assistant professor at the University of Toulon in France (www.univ-tln.fr). He is a condensed matter physicist from the Institute of Materials, Nanoscience and Microelectronic of Provence (IM2NP, www.im2np.fr). He is a specialist of near field Raman spectroscopy. He is co-supervisor of the PhD thesis of Azza Hadj Youssef about flexoelectric effects in strontium titanate thin films.
